Rich Maines is relentless in following his pursuits both on and off the bike. As a Professional Mountain Bike athlete and an Application Development Manager for Microsoft, he shares his passions at every turn, inspiring others to follow their ambitions. Rich has always been an avid rider, entering his first XC race in 1994. After a severe crash at the Coors Light Nationals in 1995, Rich retired from his brief pursuit of racing and focused on his career. In 1997 he relocated to AZ and renewed his passion for the outdoors, enjoying many hikes in the Grand Canyon and frequent rides at South Mountain in Phoenix. Since 2009, he has enjoyed endurance racing and competes as a soloist in 12 and 24 hour events on his single speed. During this time, he has also inspired his family to ride. He looks forward to continually improving, as well as sharing time with his kids, as they progress in the sport he is so passionate about.
